Obituary

We are sad to announce that with loving family members by his side, Robert Clarence Kuchenbrod "Bob" passed away on September 8, 2022 at St. Peter's Memorial Hospital. Bob was 82. Sorely missed by a countless many, Bob will be forever remembered as a loyal and dedicated family man.

Bob was a man that loved life, loved to laugh and furthermore loved to make others laugh and enjoy life. This of course came easy to Bob given his charisma and great sense of humor. Bob was born in 1939 in Denver, CO to Roy Ernest and Florence Burnette Kuchenbrod. He and his older brother Ron with their parents spent their early years in Denver, moving to Helena circa 1948, where they went on to build a wide and great community of family and friends. Bob graduated from Helena Senior High in 1958, followed by earning his B.S. in Business Administration from Montana State University in 1964. He was married to Julie Long from 1965-1986 which produced two children, Brink and Kim.

In 1990, Bob went on to marry the love of his life, Sandra Jeanne Etters. Bob and his bride formed a tight loving bond and enjoyed a wonderfully full, light hearted and enriching life together.

In 1997, after 25 years of service to the state of Montana, Bob retired. Bob had always been active, snow skiing with family and friends, as well as water skiing, back packing, playing handball, and included climbing Mount Rainier with his dear friend Jock Palmquist. Bob and Sandy were also avid golfers, golfing for many years in Arizona and upon returning to MT, were often joined by Jock.

Bob is survived by his wife Sandy, his two children Brink Kuchenbrod and Kim Stefonic. Sandy's children Bob Clark(Sue), Kim Sebens (Paul), Ryan Luchau(Angie), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; Sky Stefonic, Tait Kuchenbrod, Sage Stefonic, Anneke Kuchenbrod, Tom Schulke(Val), Kate Cirullo(Sean), Erin Rollins(Brandon), Gabbi, Caden, Silas, and Emme Luchau. Great grandchildren; Jack Schulke, Christian and Landon Cirullo, and Luke and Tate Rollins.

Rest In Peace our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. We love you.
